ABOUT MEDITATION
The practice is
easy . . . the results are profound
Meditation is an
age-old practice and lies at the heart of the Centre's teaching. The
techniques taught are simple and effective and bring profound and
lasting benefits. They allow people to reach within themselves and
draw upon the qualities of vitality, creativity, compassion and
inner peace.
Anyone can learn
to meditate – the practice is effortless and easy to learn. It is a
simple technique that allows mental and physical activity to settle
down so that a profound state of rest is achieved while the mind
remains awake and alert. During this state of restful alertness,
deep-rooted stress patterns are released in a completely natural way
while the mind becomes focussed and energised. There is no need for
any change in faith or belief and the practice does not involve
concentration or clearing the mind of thoughts. All that is required
is the setting aside of fifteen minutes a day.

INTRODUCTION
TO MEDITATION
is taught in small groups and is designed for people who have
not meditated before, or have tried different practices but feel
in need of further guidance. The teaching is relaxed and
interactive, and the experience is profound and transformative.
Eliza Harrison
is the resident meditation teacher. She has taught meditation
nationally and internationally since 1973 and offers a range of
practices that are designed to meet the needs of the individual
and can easily be incorporated into a western lifestyle.
