Introduction to Meditation – half day course

A special half day course to introduce you to the basics of meditation so that you can begin to practise yourself at home.. and/or at our beautiful centre… with confidence and discover how a simple daily practice could enrich and bring more ease and joyfulness to your everyday life. We will demonstrate how mindfulness and simple breath exercises can help to relieve stress and promote relaxation and share with you our tried and tested technique for settling the mind and body into meditation. This course is designed as a short, accessible introduction to meditation for everyone, whatever your faith or belief. Everyone is welcome and there is no requirement to sit on the floor or to sit cross-legged. Chairs, mats and cushions are provided!
It is our hope that this introductory session will enable you to discover and better utilise our Centre as a place of stillness, quiet reflection and meditation when needed and also to join in with our other events and meditation sessions. Our Learn to Meditate day (or Learn to Meditate two-part course) would be an ideal way to this build on this session further.
The introductory session runs 10am to 12.30pm and includes a tea and biscuit break. Suggested donation £20 per person.
