Tai Chi Qigong Sunday

Discover the benefits of Tai Chi for Health and Vitality with Tony Bennett at our relaxed Tai Chi Qigong Sunday event. Tony has been a practitioner of Tai Chi Qigong for over 30 years and this event is perfect for beginners as well as anyone wanting to explore their practice further, Tony will share with you both the movements and ideas behind them that have been practised to maintain optimum health for thousands of years.
Often refer to as the ‘internal martial arts’, we will be freeing up our bodies through physical movement, breath and stilling the activity in our brains. You will learn about the posture, alignment, balance, and the function and activity of our nervous system in reducing tension in all parts of our physical and spiritual selves to enable the free flow of energy.
During the day, you will use both movements and breath work to tune into our sacred constitutional energy or Qi, as practised in Tai chi; the energy that is thought to enable our body’s systems to keep us physically, emotionally and mentally healthy and in balance, and to maintain healthy relationships with ourselves, within our communities and our environment.
By the end of the workshop, you will have learnt some key sequences and gained understanding to further your practise of Qi gong, to benefit your own everyday wellbeing and to nurture yourself profoundly in an enjoyable, accessible way.. as well as a wonderful day out with a great teacher.
The movements themselves are undemanding, and so accessible to most people irrespective of their level of physical fitness but please do contact us if you have any queries.
The workshop is being held in person at The Meditation Centre on Sun 20th March 10am to 4pm. Cost per person is £45 and there are a maximum of 10 places to ensure there’s plenty of room to enjoy our beautiful space and also provide you with an optimum learning experience.
