Andy first became acquainted with meditation as a young student whilst tending the garden at the Franciscan Friary at Alnmouth nearly 35 years ago. He has been a qualified mountain leader since 1994 and has led a variety of groups throughout the UK.  A former teacher, Andy recently gained an MA in ‘Outdoor and Experiential Learning’ from Cumbria University and now works with the mental health charity MIND as an outdoor counsellor and associate trainer.  He has led Labyrinth workshops at the Meditation Centre for a number of years as well as for Cumbria University and the Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL). More recently Andy was involved with Quakers in organising the Barrow pilgrimage from Sedbergh to Furness Abbey, Barrow. He brings a wealth of knowledge of the outdoors with a love of walking, and an interest in wellbeing and spirituality.
