Over time I have witnessed the Meditation Centre’s gradual transformation from a semi derelict Chapel to the place it is now. This has been achieved through the collective efforts of many different people. For me the Meditation Centre continues to be a place of stillness and spiritual nourishment, which touches the lives of those who come here. I feel honoured to be a part of a wonderful team of people who help keep this place open and accessible to all, irrespective of beliefs.
Coming from my home in Ingleton over the fells which enclose Dent there seems an almost magical quality about Dentdale. As I have got to know this area better I have come to realise that the village of Dent is not just a picture postcard but a living, vibrant community which has a long history of encouraging independent thinking and radical dissent.
On a personal note I get great pleasure from walking the fells with my dog, Sammy. As well as giving me space to be myself, walking is often a time when I feel more able to think and to feel with greater clarity. Another aspect of my life is being a full time Dad of two very active teenagers.
