Graham has recently retired after 50 years as a practising solicitor, 35 of which were working in Sedbergh and District. He had experience of all types of legal work during his career, contentious and non-contentious. One task he had was to act for the buying party in the purchase of the Meditation Centre building from the United Reformed Church. His late wife was sympathetic to the idea of The Meditation Centre and Graham has watched its progress with interest over decades. He lives just across the road. He has served the local community in many roles, including as clerk, councillor and chair of the Dent Parish Council.
