My reason for meditating is simply to find peace and calm; to be compassionate towards myself and hence others and to build on a natural serenity that seems to increasingly accompany my life. I use meditation to find my inner self – my personal spirituality. A few years ago after a busy executive career in the public sector and then running my own business, I decided to develop my love of yoga into something deeper by learning to be a yoga teacher and I am a Yoga Alliance fully qualified teacher. I love the physical side of yoga but have found myself more and more drawn to the meditation which is at it’s heart.
I am delighted to have been able to graduate through the centre’s meditation teacher training course and through its inspiration to establish the Harrogate Meditation Centre to continue to spread this wonderful learning and increase the community of fellow meditators.
