About Lindsay
Lindsay provides unique mindfulness and wellbeing services to schools within Lancashire, Yorkshire and remotely. This includes mindfulness coaching and delivering bespoke sessions to schools and also the young person and/or family. She offers single lessons or programmes built on a foundation of mindfulness, meditation and wellbeing. This is available to all primary and secondary school children and other young people up to the age of 19.
Sessions can be targeted at specific topics to accommodate the school or young persons needs. Example topics: Coping with Anxiety, Building Resilience and Self-Esteem. Or a more generalised programme can be offered to provide the young person with a toolkit of mindful techniques to help better navigate challenges and promote optimum mental health and wellbeing.
Lindsay is a self-professed nerd on the scientific research that demonstrates mindfulness and meditation to be an effective transformational practice for young people, in which real changes can and do happen. This is where Lindsay’s passion lies and motivates her to work incredibly hard in the prevention of poor mental health in children and young adults.
Lindsay completed the Meditation Teacher Training Programme we offer at the Centre in 2018 and has since become a trustee. People often talk about ‘journeys’ and, even though that word has become somewhat of a cliché, this is how she describes her time at the centre studying this ancient and spiritual practice. The Centre has become her spiritual home and holds a very special place in her heart.
